Foot & Ankle Physicians/Surgeons: Best Kept Secret Career
Podiatry is a branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases related to the foot and ankle. In other words, we are doctors who specialize in feet. Just like traditional doctors, we can prescribe medicine, perform surgery, and make diagnoses on a variety of diseases. One of the surprising unknowns about podiatry is that it is a well-compensated field. Salaries are comparable, if not higher, than many specialties within the more popular fields of healthcare, including medicine, dentistry, optometry, and pharmacy. Furthermore, a large portion of podiatrists own their own clinics and can use business acumen to potentially earn significantly more.

Discover the Fullfilling and Diverse Opportunities of Rural Nursing
Rural nursing refers to nurses who work in small and underserved populations. The patients they serve have limited access to healthcare while living in remote areas, up to an hour away.
In rural communities, rural nurses tend to form close relationships with patients becoming not just friends but a part of the family.
Since they work in smaller healthcare facilities, rural nurses must be able to think critically and assist patients of all ages and with all types of complaints. Unlike larger cities, where nurses are specialized in different areas like emergency medicine, pediatrics, and surgery; Rural hospital nurses need to be skilled in all areas of nursing as most do not have separate areas for each. For this reason, rural nurses do have a high degree of competence and proficiency. Join Cibola General Hospital for a glimpse of what rural nursing is like.
